How to create an account, sign in, and register a team for a competition.

1. Create an account and sign in

You need an account to register a team. It is free, takes a minute, and is what lets you stop halfway through a registration and come back to it later. There is no password to invent: every sign-in sends a one-time passcode to your email address.

Creating an account

  1. Choose “Create account” in the top bar. On a phone, open the menu first.
  2. Enter your email address. A one-time passcode is sent to it.
  3. Type in the passcode from the email, give your name and finish.
  4. You land on “My profile”. Fill in your name, country and phone number and save - the account is ready.

Use an address you can read: the same address is what gets you back to your registrations, and every sign-in sends a new passcode there.

Signing in

  1. Choose “Sign in” in the top bar and enter the email address you created the account with.
  2. Enter the passcode that is sent to you. You are returned to the page you came from.

Signing out

Your name at the top right opens a menu; “Sign out” is at the bottom of it.

Common questions

I did not get a passcode.
Check the spam folder and that the address is spelt right, then ask for a new code. A code is only valid for a short while.
Sign-in stopped and said it did not complete.
Choose “Try signing in again” on that page. It happens when a sign-in is left open too long or the browser drops a cookie, and the second attempt normally works.
I can no longer read the email address I registered with.
Contact the organiser. Once they know who you are they can move the registration to a new account.
Where do I change my details or delete my account?
Under “My profile” in the menu under your name. Your name, country and phone number are there, and so is “Your data”: a copy of everything held about you, and deleting the account. What is stored and for how long is set out in the privacy notice.

2. Register a team for a competition

Registration is a form in up to seven steps. Your answers are saved as you go, so you can close it and come back until the registration deadline. The organiser decides what the competition sells, so a step for something it does not offer is not shown. Each team is its own registration; register a second team by going through the steps again.

Before you start

  1. Open the competition's registration page - the link the organiser sent you. It shows the dates, the deadlines and who the organiser is.
  2. A team can register from the date registration opens until the registration deadline; both are on that page. Outside those dates the page shows no “Start registration” button.
  3. Some bookings open later than the registration itself - the competition page says when. Until then the step shows the date, and the moment it opens an email is sent to the contact address on your registration.
  4. Choose “Start registration”. If you are not signed in you are asked to sign in first, and then brought straight back.
  5. Have the team's details to hand: the federation it belongs to, the name it competes under, its category, and a contact person the organiser can reach.

The steps, in order

  1. Team Who is competing and whom the organiser contacts. Tick the box confirming you have read the privacy notice - it is required. The second box is optional. Tick it only if everyone whose allergies or other health needs you will enter has agreed - or, for a child, a parent or guardian has. Left unticked, those fields stay closed.
  2. Accommodation Book hotel rooms night by night. Only what is still free can be booked, and the hotel's cancellation terms are shown before you continue.
  3. Rooming Who is coming and who sleeps in which room. You can leave this until later - the rooms are held by your booking, and the hotel only needs the names before you arrive. A health note about a person is only kept once you also say who agreed to it: the person, or a parent or guardian.
  4. Transport How the team travels, and when it arrives and leaves - asked once, here. Flight or train numbers are asked for only if you fly or come by train, and so is the transfer between the airport or station and the hotel, where the organiser offers it. Then hotel-arena round trips and bus hire, where the organiser offers them. Some competitions also offer a “Transport package”: the organiser's transfers between the hotel, the arena and the social events on the days it names. It is taken whole, at one fixed price for everyone in the team, and a hotel-arena round trip on a day it covers is already included.
  5. Meals Meals at the arena and the hotel, and seats at social events, booked per person.
  6. Practice Extra practice ice is a request, not a booking. The organiser reserves ice that fits and emails you the rink and times; only reserved ice is invoiced. Until the organiser answers, the ice you asked for is in your total at a preliminary price.
  7. Review Check everything and the price summary, then choose “Send registration”. Nothing is charged when you submit.

After you submit

  • The organiser receives the registration and confirms it. A receipt is emailed straight away to the contact address you gave on the Team step.
  • The receipt shows what you booked and what it costs, what a change or a cancellation costs today, and how to change the registration.
  • You are emailed again when the organiser confirms or cancels the registration, and every time a change to it is saved - by you or by the organiser.
  • The emails are written in the language the site was shown in when you sent the registration.
  • Payment is by bank transfer to the organiser, using the details shown on the Review step and on your registration page - never through this site.

Changing a registration

  • Open “My registrations” in the menu under your name. Every registration you started is listed there, drafts included - pick one up where you left it.
  • You can change a registration yourself until the competition's change deadline. After that, email the organiser.
  • A booking that opens later is booked the same way: once you have been emailed that it is open, open the registration and choose that step.
  • If the organiser reopens a booking that had closed, an email is sent to the contact address as well.
  • Each change email says what was changed, the new total, and any cancellation charge or service fee the change carries.
  • A registration cannot be sent in after the registration deadline, not even a draft started before it. Email the organiser instead: they can still enter the team, at the late-registration price.

Still stuck?

The organiser's contact details are at the bottom of the competition's registration page - they are the ones to ask about the competition, the hotel and the ice.
